A New Mouse

Today, I brought a new mouse from Future Shop.

My old mouse malfunctioned 2 days ago. The wheel (the rubber thing between the left and right buttons) didn't work although I could press it.

Anyway I got this new mouse. It wasn't expensive at all. Including taxes, I paid 17 dollors. It is branded "Microsoft".

I have been wondering how is the disc in the package useful. It seems all the optical mouses come with at least one disc. But I never placed any mouse disc in my CDROM. They always work without installing anything into my PC, no matter I use USB connector or not.

If the disc contians a mouse drive, and sometimes a user must install the drive in order to use the mouse. Things could become quite frustrating because many poeple now can't live with only keyboards .
